Registration

Registration of this program is done differently that any other software you normally buy. It is the database that is registered here, not the program itself. Thus you can have as many copies of the program you want, but only one registered database.

Thus it is imperative that you protect that database at all costs. In the Layout Options form you can back up the database, and set the program so that every time the program shuts down, it automatically backs up the database. You can also zip the database from there and store it too in a safe place.

Registration is a code-key combination. The program selects a code stored in the database. You then register for the corresponding key (there is no mathematical relationship between the code and key). Once the key-code combination is set on your machine, you are locked into that database.

Attempts to use other’s database, say in another folder, will prompt you to register that new database.

However, if you belong to a club, who is using this program, and you want to take the database home to use it, you can. Two possible conditions exist: If you have installed and registered your own database, or you do not have your own installation.

For the first case, make sure you place this database into a different folder and copy the files from your folder to that folder. Run the executable from that folder. You will be prompted to register that database, but say no at all the prompts. You will then be able to use that unregistered database to do whatever work you need to.

For the second case, install the program on your machine. Copy the club’s database into that folder over top the empty database there. When you run the program you will be prompted to register the database on this machine. Press yes. You will not be bothered about registering again.
